     Julia A. Zinn was born on 20 May 1860.^2,3 She was the daughter of Alexander Zinn and Mary (?).² Julia A. Zinn married John Elliot Starks, son of Adam Oliver Starks and Susan E. Jones, on 6 October 1881 in Upshur, West Virginia.⁴ Julia A. Zinn died in August 1928 at age 68.³

     Samuel Starks was the son of John Starks.² Samuel Starks married Eleanor Lough, daughter of Adam Lough, on 25 December 1828 in Nicholas, Virginia.^1,3,4 Samuel Starks died between 1840 and 1850 in Braxton, West Virginia.⁵

     Eleanor Lough was born in 1808.³ She was the daughter of Adam Lough.² Eleanor Lough married Samuel Starks, son of John Starks, on 25 December 1828 in Nicholas, Virginia.^2,4,5

     Adam Lough was born on 19 August 1778 in Pendleton, Virginia.³ He was the son of George Peter Lough and Mary Magdalene Siehl.^2,1 Adam Lough married Mary Skidmore, daughter of John A. Skidmore and Mary Magdalena "Polly" Hinkle, on 27 November 1803.² Adam Lough died on 20 November 1854 in Braxton, Virginia, at age 76.³

     Carl Jesse Cutright was born on 13 June 1883 in Upshur, West Virginia.^3,4,5,6,7 He was the son of Lemuel Rollins Cutright and Salina Butcher Brady.¹ Carl Jesse Cutright married Sarah Bivia "Viv" Marsh, daughter of Gilbert M. Marsh and Mary (?), on 21 May 1913 in Married by G. H. Snyder, Lewis, West Virginia.⁸ Carl Jesse Cutright died on 27 May 1969 in Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia, at age 85.^3,9,10 He was buried on 29 May 1969 in Pleasant Dale Cemetery, Hinkleville, Upshur, West Virginia.⁹

"JESSE CARL CUTRIGHT. born June 13, 1883, son of Lemuel R. Cutright and Salina Brady, the daughter of William Brady; the grandson of Elmore Cutright. who is a son of Jacob Cutright. who is a son of John Cutright of Sycamore tree notority. He was raised on a farm and has completed a course of study prescribed for the public school. Since his graduation from the public school, he has farmed some. he has railroaded some and has worked in coal mines."¹¹ He registered for the WWI Draft on on 12 September 1918 in Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.⁴ He registered for the WWII Draft on on 27 April 1942 in Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.⁵ He lived in November 1959 in Adrian, Upshur, West Virginia.¹² He lived in 1967 in Adrian, Upshur, West Virginia.¹³

     Lemuel Rollins Cutright was born on 3 February 1850 in Lewis, Virginia.^2,3,4 He was the son of Elmore Cutright and Nancy A. Wolf.¹ Lemuel Rollins Cutright married Salina Butcher Brady, daughter of William S. Brady, on 14 November 1867.² Lemuel Rollins Cutright died on 25 September 1928 in Upshur, West Virginia, at age 78.¹ He was buried after 25 September 1928 in Pleasant Dale Cemetery, Upshur, West Virginia.¹

LEMUEL R. CUTRIGHT, of Upshur County, is in his seventy-
second year, and is probably the youngest Grand Army man
in West Virginia. Ue was in service only the latter months
of the great struggle, but four of his older brothers were in
the service practically from the beginning of the war. The
Cutrights have been a prominent family in Upshur County
since pioneer days, and the name has always been associated
with stalwart Americanism.

Lemuel R. Cutright, who is still living on his farm on
the French Creek Pike, a half mile north of Adrian, was
burn in Upshur County, February 3, 1850, son of Elmore
aud Nancy A. (Wolfe) Cutright. His father was born near
Hampton, West Virginia, December 31, 1820, and his mother
on Middle Fork in Upshur County, January 10, 1823. After
their marriage they settled on a farm near Hampton, and
in October, 1870, moved to another farm in Rowan County,
where they lived out their lives. They were devout Meth-
odists in religion, aud the father always upheld the prin-
ciples of the republican party. In their family were twelve
children, a brief record of whom follows: Mifflin, born
April 9, 1841, who was one of the soldiers of the family in
the Civil war; Granville S., born October 29, 1842, who
also had a military record; Abraham, burn March 23, 1844,
who died while in the army; Mary E., born November 14,
1845, now deceased; Jacob E., burn July 6, 1847, who was
a soldier and is still living; Lemuel R; Asa, born August
6, 1851; James A., born July 5, 1853, deceased; Alonzo,
born December 13, 1854; Columbus, born May 6, 1856;
Indiana, born December 27; 1857; and Derwinda J., born
May 18, 1859.

Lemuel R. Cutright grew up on a farm, was educated in
the common schools, and in 1865, at the age of fifteen, was
mustered into Company I of the Third West Virginia
Cavalry. He was with that command during the concluding
phases of the Civil war, and then came home and went to
work on the farm. Farming has been his steady occupation
during all subsequent years, and he still lives on his place
of fifty-seven acres. He is one of the directors of the Bank
of Adrian, is a member of the Grand Army Post at Buck-
hannon and has stanchly upheld the republican party in
many successive campaigns.

On November 14, 1867, Mr. Cutright married Salina
Brady. Her death on March 31, 1917, occurred only a few
months before they should have celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary. To their marriage were born eleven
children: Aura M., born October 16, 1870, at home; Allen
B., born January 2, 1873, deputy sheriff of Upshur County;
Elva, born June 3, 1875, wife of Charles Hyre; James E.,
born June 10, 1877; Bertha, born Jane 2, ly79, deceased;
Holly, born May 27, 1881; Carl, born June 13, 1883; Maude,
born October 5, 1885, wife of Mack Cutright; Lora, born
September 2, 1888, wife of G. C. Marsh; and two other chil-
dren that died in infancy.⁵

     Salina Butcher Brady was born on 19 April 1843 in Lewis, Virginia.^1,2 She was the daughter of William S. Brady.¹ Salina Butcher Brady married Lemuel Rollins Cutright, son of Elmore Cutright and Nancy A. Wolf, on 14 November 1867.³ Salina Butcher Brady died on 31 March 1917 in Upshur, West Virginia, at age 73.³ She was buried after 31 March 1917 in Pleasant Dale Cemetery, Upshur, West Virginia.¹

     Sarah Bivia "Viv" Marsh was born circa 1884.¹ She was the daughter of Gilbert M. Marsh and Mary (?).^3,2 Sarah Bivia "Viv" Marsh married Carl Jesse Cutright, son of Lemuel Rollins Cutright and Salina Butcher Brady, on 21 May 1913 in Married by G. H. Snyder, Lewis, West Virginia.³

     Elmore Cutright was born on 31 December 1820 in Hampton, Upshur, Virginia.^{2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9} He was the son of Jacob E. Cutright and Elizabeth Westfall.¹ Elmore Cutright married Nancy A. Wolf on 7 November 1839.^10,11,4 Elmore Cutright married Malinda (?) circa 1878.^8,12 Elmore Cutright was buried in 1905 in Carpenter Cemetery, Roane, West Virginia.¹ He died in 1905 in Roane, West Virginia.⁴

     Nancy A. Wolf was born on 10 January 1823 in Middle Fork, Upshur, Virginia.^4,5,6,7 She married Elmore Cutright, son of Jacob E. Cutright and Elizabeth Westfall, on 7 November 1839.^1,2,8

     Bernard Roscoe Teets was born on 22 March 1918 in Upshur, West Virginia.^3,4,5,2 He was the son of Roscoe Finley Teets and Georgia B. "Georgie" Brake.^1,2 Bernard Roscoe Teets was buried after 6 June 1937 in Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.^3,6 He died on 1 October 1937 in Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia, at age 19.^1,3

     Bernadine Brake Teets was born on 23 September 1924 in Upshur, West Virginia.^1,2,5,6,3 She was the daughter of Roscoe Finley Teets and Georgia B. "Georgie" Brake.³ Bernadine Brake Teets died on 4 June 1939 in Union Protestant Hospital, Clarksburg, Harrison, West Virginia, at age 14.^1,2,3 She was buried on 7 June 1939 in Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.^1,2,5

     Leota Lora Teets was buried in Old Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.¹ She was born on 12 March 1894 in Upshur, West Virginia.^2,3,4,5,6,7 She was the daughter of Albro Teets and Mary Elizabeth Liggett.¹ Leota Lora Teets married Hugh Brake, son of Isaac Newton Brake and Martha Sheppard Price, on 7 October 1917 in Turkey Run, Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.^8,9 Leota Lora Teets died on 10 May 1973 in Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia, at age 79.¹⁰ She was buried after 10 May 1973 in Heavner Cemetery, Upshur, West Virginia.¹¹

     Hugh Brake was born on 9 August 1883 in Turkey Run, Upshur, West Virginia.^4,5,6,7,8,9 He was the son of Isaac Newton Brake and Martha Sheppard Price.^2,3 Hugh Brake married Leota Lora Teets, daughter of Albro Teets and Mary Elizabeth Liggett, on 7 October 1917 in Turkey Run, Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.^10,11 Hugh Brake died on 13 March 1959 in Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia, at age 75.¹² He was buried on 15 March 1959 in Heavner Cemetery, Buckhannon, Upshur, West Virginia.¹²
