They had two children: Robert Hugh Hammell B. Sept. 11,1948 Fairmont Marion County WV, still living. Resides in Mannington Marion County WV. They also had a daughter, Nancy Hammell Griffith B. WV still living. Resides on Ohio.

Dahlgren and Ethel were married by Rev. Dave Feather at the Methodist Church in Brandonville, Preston Co., WV. Lester Teets and Bertha Augustine were the Attendants. They first lived at the Five Forks where Edna and Bert were born, and they moved to Old Mill Road in the Rankin House, where Helen was born. Then they moved to the log house on the property they lived on until they died. The log house had just 2 rooms, one up and one down. Tobe was born there and when he was a few weeks old, the house burned to the ground. Nothing was saved but the family bible and the sewing machine. They moved in with Dick's parents until the new house was built there. Grace, Dee, Virginia and John were born there.⁷

Age 82 years of Farmington, R. D. 1 died Wednesday, January 10, 1973 at 11:30AM in the Uniontown Hospital. She was the daughter of the late George and Lydia Wilhelm Teets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dahlgren Groover on December 25, 1959. Surviving are three sons, Burt Groover of Uniontown, M. M. Groover of Smithfield and John Groover of Ohiopyle; four daughters Mrs. Charles (Edna) Lynch of Farmington, Mrs. George (Helen) Kadar of Chalk Hill, Pa., Mrs. Francis (Grace) Nelson of Uniontown and Mrs. Michael (Virginia) Dameter of Lemont Furnace; forty two grandchildren, fifty five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Vernon Groover in 1950. She was a member of the East View United Methodist Church of Bruceton Mills, W. Va.. Friends will be received in the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home, 184 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. today from 7 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. and until Saturday at 11 a.m., the hour of service. Dr. Earl P. Confer will officiate. Interment in East View Cemetery, Bruceton Mills, W. Va.

Age 82 years of Farmington, R. D. 1 died Wednesday, January 10, 1973 at 11:30AM in the Uniontown Hospital. She was the daughter of the late George and Lydia Wilhelm Teets. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dahlgren Groover on December 25, 1959. Surviving are three sons, Burt Groover of Uniontown, M. M. Groover of Smithfield and John Groover of Ohiopyle; four daughters Mrs. Charles (Edna) Lynch of Farmington, Mrs. George (Helen) Kadar of Chalk Hill, Pa., Mrs. Francis (Grace) Nelson of Uniontown and Mrs. Michael (Virginia) Dameter of Lemont Furnace; forty two grandchildren, fifty five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son Vernon Groover in 1950. She was a member of the East View United Methodist Church of Bruceton Mills, W. Va.. Friends will be received in the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home, 184 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. today from 7 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. and until Saturday at 11 a.m., the hour of service. Dr. Earl P. Confer will officiate. Interment in East View Cemetery, Bruceton Mills, W. Va.
