    Thanks for the update!! This is great! One of our cousins, Velva Wilfong just passed away last Wednesday. She was Uncle Beford's daughter. We always called him Uncle Shorty. My mom went to the funeral and said she seen people she hadn't seen for years..not since my dad died in 1977. His sister, Aunt Betty swears that my grandfather, Ira came to the US on a ship from Germany when he was nine with his mother, but I can't find anything that proves that. All I can find is that he was most likely born in North Carolina and his mother and father already lived here, not Germany. Do you have anything indicating his birth whereabouts?

My Uncle Dale's full name was Byron Dale Wilfong, who passed away appx. 2 years ago (I'll get a more definate date for you later if you would like). He served in the Vietnam War.
    Earl's and Farah's oldest son, Jules (my father), has a son, my brother, named Michael Forrest Wilfong, who is also married to a Shari Arnold (Arnold being her maiden name), and has a son named Jacob Forrest Wilfong.
