     Nellie Pricilla Kiddy was born on 11 February 1894.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Matthew Kiddy and Nancy Ellen Sharps.¹ Nellie Pricilla Kiddy died on 24 December 1968 at age 74.¹

     Harvey A. Kiddy was born on 20 August 1895 in West Virginia.^4,5 He was the son of Joseph Matthew Kiddy and Nancy Ellen Sharps.³ Harvey A. Kiddy married Dora Price, daughter of Alson Eugene Price and Sarah Frances Melton, on 8 November 1924 in Kanawha, West Virginia.¹ Harvey A. Kiddy died in January 1977 in Parkersburg, Wood, West Virginia, at age 81.⁵

     Mamie May Kiddy was born on 17 September 1898.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph Matthew Kiddy and Nancy Ellen Sharps.¹ Mamie May Kiddy died on 3 August 1965 at age 66.¹

     Walter Joseph Kiddy was born on 22 March 1905.^1,2 He was the son of Joseph Matthew Kiddy and Nancy Ellen Sharps.¹ Walter Joseph Kiddy died on 30 November 1970 at age 65.^1,2

     Juanita Maxine Rowan married Wayne Albert Kiddy, son of Frank Kelso Kiddy and Hester Ellen Melton, on 3 December 1955.¹

"Barbary" Casto, daughter of Andrew Casto and Rachel Cutright, on 25 December 1862 in Upshur, West Virginia.^3,9,10,1,2 John Beer died on 30 April 1887 in Sago, Upshur, West Virginia, at age 73.^4,11 He was buried after 30 April 1887 in Elbon Cemetery, Sago, Upshur, West Virginia.⁴

"The John Beer Family"

Just a little while before the Civil War John Beer of Pennsylvania brought his family into the neighborhood of Sago. He first settled at the mouth of Truby's Run and operated a sawmill.
Later he purchased the farm on the east side of the river from the Cornelius Clark farm. His
children did not all come with him, but, after the Civil War, his son Solomon came with his family.
Those who came with him were Reuben, Jane, George, John, Esther and Mary. His wife was a
splended woman and anxiously trained her children. The family added much to the welfare of the
community - in school, in church, and in social life. Rueben served in Company E of the 3rd WV
Infantry (afterwards the 6th Cavalry). He married Nancy Boggess and went to Pennsylvania to
live, George served in the Union army and taught school for half a century in Upshur County. He
is the father of Dr. O.D. Beer of Buckhannon, a well-known surgeon in West Virginia. Jane
married Granville Cutright, and Mary has spent most of her life in the far West.
Mr. John Beer was married twice. For his last wife he married Barbara Casto, and from
this marriage there was reared a large family of boys and girls who have become useful citizens in
the county. Barbara, his second wife, was know by all as Aunt Barbara. She was a very
hard-working woman, noted for her quickness to anger, but was much honored for her willingness
to help her neighbors in case of sickness.

     Barbara A. "Barbary" Casto was born on 9 April 1833 in Lewis, Virginia.^1,2,3,4 She was the daughter of Andrew Casto and Rachel Cutright.³ Barbara A. "Barbary" Casto married John Beer, son of George Beer and Anna Catherine Gertrude Saxman, on 25 December 1862 in Upshur, West Virginia.^5,6,7,1,3 Barbara A. "Barbary" Casto died on 30 March 1899 at age 65.⁴

     Lucinda Frances "Lucy/Lucie" Beer was born in March 1867 in West Virginia.^1,2,4,5,6 She was the daughter of John Beer and Barbara A. "Barbary" Casto.¹ Lucinda Frances "Lucy/Lucie" Beer married Josiah S. Hamilton, son of Benjamin Franklin Hamilton and Victoria Southards, on 28 August 1892 in Sago, Upshur, West Virginia.^6,7

     Mary A. Beer was born circa 1856 in Clarion, Pennsylvania.^1,2 She was the daughter of John Beer and Anna Mary "Ann" Hetrick.²

     Barbara A. Beer was born circa 1867.¹ She was the daughter of John Beer and Barbara A. "Barbary" Casto.¹

     Charles McCrum was born on 23 January 1902 in Aurora, Preston, West Virginia.^1,2 He was the son of Alvin Adam McCrum and Margaret "Maggie" Shuttlesworth.¹ Charles McCrum died on 7 April 1986 in in a convalescent home, Oakland, Garrett, Maryland, at age 84.^1,2 He was buried after 7 April 1986 in Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Preston, West Virginia.¹
     Charles was an early pioneer in manned flight, having designed, built and flown airplanes in the 1920's. Never married. Spent many years in the Weston Mental Hospital. Worked on the State Road Commission.¹

     Lucy Blanche McCrum is the daughter of Alvin Adam McCrum and Margaret "Maggie" Shuttlesworth.¹ Lucy Blanche McCrum married Branson Haas.¹

     Branson Haas married Lucy Blanche McCrum, daughter of Alvin Adam McCrum and Margaret "Maggie" Shuttlesworth.¹ Branson Haas was born after 7 April 1986.¹
     When he retired, he gave land to the State with reqirements that
they not cut anything on it; later became Cathedral Forest. Whenever a tree falls, nothing can be done with it;
it must go back to nature.¹

     Lillie McCrum was born on 20 February 1895 in Preston, West Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Alvin Adam McCrum and Margaret "Maggie" Shuttlesworth.¹ Lillie McCrum died circa 1973.¹
     Lillie McCrum lived in Aurora, Preston, West Virginia.¹ Hung little things on guide wires. Stayed with Ira and Gertrude. Played
piano by ear. Only needed to hear music one time and could sit down and play it.¹

     Hazel McCrum was born on 14 May 1908 in Fairview, West Virginia.¹ She was the daughter of Alvin Adam McCrum and Margaret "Maggie" Shuttlesworth.¹ Hazel McCrum was buried circa 1980 in Aurora Cemetery, Aurora, Preston, West Virginia.¹ She died circa 1980 in at home, Terra Alta, Preston, West Virginia.¹

     Phillip Shuttlesworth married Charlotte Sapp.¹
