Bertha Pearl Teets Hartman, 91, of Kingwood, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001, at home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1910 in Crookston, Neb., daughter of the late Troy Joseph and Rosa Nettie Koontz Teets.
She and her family moved to West Virginia via covered wagon in the 1920s.
She worked at The Preston County Inn and Preston Memorial Hospital where she retired in 1972. She was a member of Kingwood Emmanuel Apostolic Church for more than 50 years.
She is survived by two sons and spouse, Junior G. and Glendene F. Hartman, of Kingwood, and William F. Hartman; a daughter and spouse, Lucille and Richard Crigler, of Richmond, Ind.; a brother, Steve Teets, of Kingwood; a sister, Betty Ruby Shrout, of California; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Olgia G. Hartman, on Dec. 20, 1977; a son, Odis Oliver Hartman; a daughter, Leeodie Mae Hartman; five brothers, Loyd Teets, John M. Teets, Paul William Teets, Charles Teets and Joseph Teets; four sisters, Ida Teets, Eithel Sisler, Virginia N. Ackins and Irene DeBerry; and a grandson, Thomas Crigler.
Friend may call at Lobb Funeral Home, 295 S. Price St., Kingwood, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, with the Revs. Glenn Riggleman and Clyde Gidley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Kingwood. - [S600] Carol A. She was born Jan. 7, 1946, in Kingwood, W.Va., daughter of the late John M. Teets Sr. and Rose P. Teets.
She was a homemaker for many years and Methodist by faith.
Laura is survived by her husband of 42 years, Timothy M. Hetrick Sr.; one daughter, Renea R. Hetrick of Morgantown; two sons, Timothy M. Hetrick Jr. of Gerrardstown, W.Va., and Kenneth E. Hetrick and spouse, Tracy L. Hetrick, of Morgantown, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Rachel P. Hetrick, and one grandson, Mason C. Hetrick, both of Morgantown.
Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 5, at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted by Pastor Robert Muster at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6, at the Fred L. Jenkins Chapel of Prayer.
Burial will follow at the Pisgah Cemetery.

Go up Mill Gap about 2 1/2 miles to a development and what they call Divide Road. Left turn, drive 200 yards, walk to left of raod for about 400 yards to a ravine, cross ravine and follow to cemetery. Census taken 30 July 1979. (As I told you, this is not an easy place to find and is totally neglected - covered by thorn bushes and the headstones are lying down.) John the family you have listed are tied into the Teets family and I still think the Caroline R S S D W Williams is Also Rebecca married to Jehu (John) John Teets Brother of Labon & Jacob Teets.
Jehu died abt 1900 because Rebecca is living with her Aunt in the 1900 census & most of here kids were placed with other families. In the 1910 census she had a son Elmer Teets (26 Feb 1901 - Jan 1893) Buried in the Sager Cemetery so If Elmer is his son he must have passed away just before the June 1900 census. Rebecca's & Jehu oldest daughter Annie's son Paul Brill is still living I saw him & his wife this past Sept. I'll have to ask them about Caroline.
As for sources all I have is above & his decendants (Sager's & Brill's saying he died fairly young (49?).

My wifes maiden name is Eastman, her DOB is 6/18/73 - Born in Richmond, VA
My son's given name is Charles Joseph Teets Jr. (which in turn would make me a Senior), Joey is his nickname, and his DOB is 05/10/95 - Born in Florida - He was diagnosed with a disease called PPH (Primary Pulmonary Hypertension) around August of 2000.
I also have a Daughter; Tabitha Noel Teets DOB 1/15/98 - Also born in Florida
I have another sister, who is not listed; Sara Beth Teets - 1975 - She was adopted from El Salvador, not sure of the date of the adoption. She just Married Juan Cotto in July of 2006. She took his name.
My listed sister Rebecca, married Travis Holt, and has 2 sons. She took his name of Holt. Her and Travis are divorced now. Don't know any dates.
Her oldest son is Trentin Holt, and youngest is Trevor Holt
My father also served as a legislator in the West Virginia House of Delegates from (I beleive) 1972-1984

My son's given name is Charles Joseph Teets Jr. (which in turn would make me a Senior), Joey is his nickname, and his DOB is 05/10/95 - Born in Florida - He was diagnosed with a disease called PPH (Primary Pulmonary Hypertension) around August of 2000.
I also have a Daughter; Tabitha Noel Teets DOB 1/15/98 - Also born in Florida
I have another sister, who is not listed; Sara Beth Teets - 1975 - She was adopted from El Salvador, not sure of the date of the adoption. She just Married Juan Cotto in July of 2006. She took his name.
My listed sister Rebecca, married Travis Holt, and has 2 sons. She took his name of Holt. Her and Travis are divorced now. Don't know any dates.
Her oldest son is Trentin Holt, and youngest is Trevor Holt
My father also served as a legislator in the West Virginia House of Delegates from (I beleive) 1972-1984
My Uncle Robert's daughter's name is Ashley. Not sure of DOB.

According to my records, Charles' middle name was Henry. He died on May 17, 1977. He was married to Ethel Kelley, born Feb 20, 1884 and died Feb 23, 1975. They were married on Nov 29, 1905. Ethel Kelley Teets was married to Oliver Freeland (1878 to 1904) abt 1903 and had a daughter, Freda Olive Freeland. Freda was born on Sept 5, 1903 and died June 15, 1991.
