Mrs. Sara M. Teets, aged 70, widow of John A. Teets, died at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. E. S. Caton, 183 Coolspring street, after a lingering illness. She was a devout member of the Church of the Brethren, and a well-known local resident.

Surviving are the following daughters: Mrs. Joseph Niner, Terra Alta, W. Va.; Mrs. Albert Nabors, and Mrs. E. S. Caton, both of Uniontown, and Mrs. Edna Caton, of Huntington, W. Va. She also leaves two brothers, Daniel and Freeman Thomas, of Brandonville, W.Va., 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The body was removed from the Ferguson Funeral Home to the Caton residence this morning.

Short funeral services will be held in the home at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with additional rites to follow at 2:30 in the Brethren church at Salem, W. Va., in charge of the Rev. C. C. Sollenberger. Burial will be in the Thomas, W. Va. Cemetery.

Paul J. Booth, 89, of North Pike Street, Grafton, passed away Oct. 1, 2009, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Ellamore, a son of the late Homer O. Booth and Lela M. (Davis) Booth.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Juanita B. (Demoss) Booth; two brothers, Wayne Booth and wife, Jo Booth, of Calabash, N.C., and Richard D. Booth and wife, Betty Booth, of Buckhannon; and also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Booth served in the U.S. Marie Corps from 1942 to 1945 and he was an accountant for the Monongahela Power Company in Fairmont for 18 years. He was a life member of the VFW Memorial City Post 3081 and served as their former Commander and District Commander. He attended the Blueville United Methodist Church in Grafton.

The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Sunday, Oct. 4 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jeffrey N. Winter officiating.Interment will follow at the Bluemont Cemetery in Grafton.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW Memorial City Post 3081, Taylor County Post 12 American Legion and the D.A.V. Chapter 24 and their auxiliaries.

Gum and Martha Rymer of Hyland County, Va. the Gums are of German descent.

Catherine Depoy was the daughter of Philip H. Depoy and Lydia A. Bowman of Rockingham County, Va., who were also of German descent.

The subject of this sketch was educated in the common schools, the Normal and Classical Academy at Buckhannon and the West Virginia Conference Seminary. He taught several years and then took a course in Medicine at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Baltimore, Md., graduating therefrom April 17, 1897. He has been practicing his profession at Pecks Run, Upshur County, the scenes of his boyhood, ever since.

September 7, 1898, he married Allie s. Calhoun, the daughter of Jackson Calhoun and Mary Rohrbough.
