    Unfortunately, I do not know who Anna's father was. She first appears in
    the 1900 census with her mother Isabella Duffy who is single. Anna is
    listed as being born April 1893 in PA of Irish parents. Just last month
    I received my grandmother Isabella's birth certificate from Donegal
    County, Ireland; she was born 2 Nov 1870 and her parents were Andrew
    Duffy and Mary Jane Stewart. In 1910 Anna is with her mother who is
    married to Francis Richard Williams born 22 Jul 1859 Staffordshire,
    England. Three other children, Gladys, Ella Mae, and Leonard, are also
    in the same census. My father, Raymond Christopher Williams, was born
    1912 in Donora and appears on the 1920 census with Gladys, Ella Mae, and
    Leonard. I have met all these aunts and uncle in the past, but Anna died
    before I was born.

    In the 1920 census Anna is married to Harry Hartstien (Hartstine) with
    girls Ethel, Margaret, and Harriett and they are living in Donora,
    Washington, PA. Harry's WWI registration card of 1918 has Anna listed as
    his wife. I do not know if Harry died, but in the 1930 census of Donora
    Anna is listed as the wife of Scott Teets and they are living at 120
    Meldon Ave. This is the same address Scott had with Philomena in the
    1920 census. I also have the 1910 census of Scott with Philomena.

    Anna died 12 Jun 1934, which was shortly after her last child, Catherine
    was born 14 May 1934. She was buried as Anna Mae Teets 15 Jun 1934 in
    the Monongahela Cemetery in a plot her mother, my grandmother Isabella
    Duffy Williams, had bought. My grandfather, Francis Williams, died 2 Jul
    1931 and shares a headstone with my grandmother, Isabella who died 18
    Dec 1954. Anna's headstone is next to theirs.

    My grandmother, Isabella "Bella", helped raise Catherine, and some of my
    birthday cards as a child were signed "Grandma Williams and Catherine."
    I met Catherine once when I was a child when we took a trip to Donora,
    PA. Do you know if Catherine is still living and where?

    I spent 2 weeks doing genealogy research in PA this past summer with 2
    of my sisters and a brother from California. We visited the Monongahela
    Cemetery and found out that St. Mary's Cemetery is now part of it.

    I have a copy of the obit for Scott's mother, Laura, who died 29 Feb
    1940 at the age of 82 at the home of grandson Curtis DeBerry in Mount
    Braddock, PA. Plus I have a 2 other articles about Scott, one titled
    "Donora Boy Loses Leg As Trucks Sideswipe In Passing" (Scott was driving
    one of the trucks) and "Donora Man Dies of Hurts After Fall" which is
    about Scott's death.

     Francis Richard "Frank" Williams was born on 22 July 1859 in Staffordshire, England.1,2,3,4,5 He married Sarah Ellen Liptrott on 4 July 1880 in Lancashire, England.6 Francis Richard "Frank" Williams married Isabella "Bella" Duffy, daughter of Andrew Duffy and Mary Jane Stewart, between 1902 and 1903.2 Francis Richard "Frank" Williams died on 2 July 1931 at age 71.1 He was buried after 2 July 1931 in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, Washington, Pennsylvania.1
     Francis Richard "Frank" Williams was also known as Frannie Williams.4

    I have no knowledge of Isabella having 3 children that died as noted
    in the 1910 census. My dad's birth certificate states that his mother
    had a total of five children. Francis Richard Williams had children by
    his first wife, Sarah Ellen Liptrott b March 1860 Lancashire, England.
    She and Francis were married 4 July 1880 in Lancashire, England.
    Children: Francis Richard, Jr. b April 1882 Lancashire, England, Edward
    b 13 Mar 1886 St. Helens, Lancashire, England, and William Charles b 23
    March 1888 St. Helens, Lancashire, England. (I have copies of the
    marriage certificate, birth certificates for the 2 younger boys, and the
    immigration record from ancestry.com for Sarah and the boys who arrived
    in NY 18 Dec 1890. I am in contact with children from this "first

    Margaret C. Teets, 91, formerly of Donora, died Monday, June 5, 2006, in the emergency room at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Teets was born in Webster (Rostraver Township) on March 14, 1915, a daughter of the late James and Annie Upperman Brooks. She was employed as a maintenance worker for many businesses throughout the Mon Valley. Mrs. Teets was a lifelong resident of Donora and a member of the former First United Methodist Church in Donora. Mrs. Teets was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, in 1987; a son, Scott A. Teets; a grandson, Brian Teets; and two brothers, John and William Brooks. Survivors include three sons, Robert L. (June D.) Teets, of Perryopolis, David S. (Nancy) Teets, of Monongahela, and William S. Sr. (Cynthia E.) Teets, of Carroll Township; one daughter, Susan L. (Dennis) Berry, of Monongahela; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Bertha Sowers, of Donora; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JAMES A. RABE FUNERAL HOME INC., 701 Thompson Ave., Donora (724-379-9020), where funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael A. Milinovich of the First United Methodist Church in Monongahela officiating. Burial will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.

    Calvin H. Teets, aged about 45 years of Denora, died Saturday night at 11 o'clock in the Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, where he had been a patient but a very few days. Mr. Teets for sixteen years had worked in the Pittsburgh steel plant here in the car service department of the Monessen-Southwestern railroad. A few days ago Mr. Teets was taken ill of pleurisy and pneumonia developed resulting in death.
    The funereal will take place Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Lutheran church in Denora. Rev. Deitrich will officiate.
