     George Harrison Teets was born on 6 February 1847 in Virginia.2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 He was the son of John Marshall Teets and Elizabeth Sisler.1 George Harrison Teets married Lydia Kathryn "Lydda" Wilhelm, daughter of John Wilhelm and Mary Martin, on 27 December 1867 in Preston, West Virginia.2,3,10 George Harrison Teets died on 11 April 1926 in Stroke of paralysis at age 79.2,3,9,10 He was buried after 11 April 1926 in Eastview Cemetery, Preston, West Virginia.2
     George Harrison Teets served in Company F, 7th Regiment, West Virginia Voluntary Infantry. He served by stating that he was older than he actually was.2,3,10 He donated land for the East View Cemetery where several of the Teets family are buried.3 George Harrison Teets was also known as George Teats.6 George Harrison Teets was also known as George W. Teets.11

    Mrs. Teets was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance and the York Run Grange; a member of the B.L.W. Sunday School Class and the Ladies Missionary Society of the church.
    Before her retirement, she was employed for several years as the Food Consultant for the Thrift Drug Company in Uniontown. Mrs. Teets also loved to bake and cook for her family and many friends. Her special Easter dinner menu and recipes were once featured in the Morning Herald and Evening Standard newspapers.
    The Family will received friends in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church St., Fairchance on Friday, Feb 17, 1995 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM., and Saturday, Feb 18, 1995 in the First Baptist Church of Fairchance from 10 to 11AM, the hour of service, with the Rev. William Roberts and Joseph Douthitt officiating. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park.

    Mrs. Teets was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Fairchance and the York Run Grange; a member of the B.L.W. Sunday School Class and the Ladies Missionary Society of the church.
    Before her retirement, she was employed for several years as the Food Consultant for the Thrift Drug Company in Uniontown. Mrs. Teets also loved to bake and cook for her family and many friends. Her special Easter dinner menu and recipes were once featured in the Morning Herald and Evening Standard newspapers.
    The Family will received friends in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church St., Fairchance on Friday, Feb 17, 1995 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM., and Saturday, Feb 18, 1995 in the First Baptist Church of Fairchance from 10 to 11AM, the hour of service, with the Rev. William Roberts and Joseph Douthitt officiating. Interment in LaFayette Memorial Park.

(nee Donges), in 1989; son, Parley Teets Jr., In 1978; his parents, Martin and Nancy Teets; brothers Charles, William, Raymond and Harley; and sisters Ethel DeBerry, Emma Fuller, Bertie Teets, Panzie Shaffer and Mattie Teets.
