  1. [S634] Obit: Thomas Arnold, Thomas ARNOLD Thomas W. Arnold Sr. 75, of 419 Winmer Street, died May 11, 1980 in Memorial Hospital. He was born March 14, 1905 in Davis, WVa., he was the son of the late Obie W. Arnold and Zona M. (Teets) Arnold. He was a retired employee of Amcelle Plant of Celanese Fibers Corporation, where he had been employed 35 years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Marie (Tyson) Arnold; one son, Thomas W. Arnold Jr., with the Marine Corps in Indianapolis, Ind; two daughters, Mrs. Zona M. Detrick, Cumberland, Md.; and Mrs. Glenda Brook Green, Oakland; four brothers, James Arnold and C. George Arnold, both of Davis, WVa.; Parker Arnold, Hopewell, Va., and Russell Arnold, Cumberland; two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Davis, Wheeling, WVa.; and Mrs. Mildred Feller, Grantsville, Md.; and four grandchildren. Friends were received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to a favorite charity. Services were conducted in the funeral home by the Rev. Lee McDaniel. Graveside services conducted by the Rev. Harley Baldwin with interment in Davis Cemetery, Davis, WVa. The Republic May 15, 1980.
