    Naomi Catherine Teets, 88, of Boonsboro, W.Va., formerly of Aurora, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at the Fahrney Keedy Retirement Home in Boonsboro.
    Born on Feb. 19, 1919, in Brookside, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Roy Joshua Bowman and Trecia Melvina (Wolfe) Bowman. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor J. Rinker and Martha E. Holsopple; and a grandson, Timothy A. Teets.
    She married Ross Franklin Teets on Sept. 30, 1939. Mr. Teets passed away on July 25, 1995.
    She and her husband were dairy farmers in the Eglon, W.Va., area for many years. She was also a homemaker and retired from Fairfax County Public Schools, Va., as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of the Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Eglon.
    She is survived by two sons, Alan R. Teets and wife Mary, Middletown, Del., and Doyne W. Teets and wife Bonita, Winchester, Va.; one daughter, Greta Weeks and husband Jack, Warrenton, Va.; five grandchildren; one step- grandchild; four great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, C. Harold Holsopple, Staunton, Va.; three nephews; and one niece.
    Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home, Oakland.
    A service was conducted at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren in Eglon on Friday, Feb. 23, with Rev. David Moon officiating.
    Interment followed in the Eglon cemetery.

I do not know who Jimmy is. As for Kenneth Elliott, I do know that Pearl Arnett married Isaac Newton Elliott 30 Mar. 1904 in Toledo, IL ( Cumberland County). They had one son named Kenneth William Elliott. He married Dorothy Pearl Bowman, my grandmother. Kenneth yes, is my grandfather. I am hoping to find more on Isaac's dad this week later when my husband Rob and I go down to Toledo to the courthouse. We are both school teachers, and have a little time left before school starts up. Kenneth died 16 Nov 1963. He married Dorothy 28 Sep. 1929 in Toledo. He was born 17 Mar. 1905. Dorothy was born 8 Aug 1912, and died 2 Feb. 1988. She was born in Cumberland but died in Effingham county in a nursing home. Have a great evening. Vickie.

    D. Harding Teets, son of the late Lester and Pearl Arnett Teets, was born on March 25, 1921 at Bloomfield and died at Beverly Healthcare in Bloomfield on Monday, June 16, 2003 at the age of 82. Mr. Harding worked as a concrete finisher for Stites Concrete in Dexter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was married to Veda DeJournett on October 28, 1941 at Ardeola. Mrs. Teets survives of the home. Other survivors include: four sons, Eldon Teets of Mt. Clemens, Mich., Dennis Teets of Puxico, Stanley Teets of Dexter and Randy Teets of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Brenda Schatz of Advance, Karen Light of Oran, Zelma McTurnan of Bell City and Gwen Shirrell of Advance; one brother, Jimmy Teets of Bloomfield; two sisters, Wanda Nunn of St. Louis and Joan Griffan of Cape Girardeau; 22 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Interment will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bell City.

    Jewell Mae Tate, daughter of the late Willie Alfonzo McCain and Grace Stroble McCain was born on Nov. 13, 1914, in Pershing, Ill. and died in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the age of 87. Mrs. Tate was a former owner and operator of restaurants in Malden and Bloomfield, had been employed as a baby sitter, was a member of the Bernie Assembly of God Church, and was a resident of Bernie. She was first married to Paul Lester Teets on Dec. 10, 1930, and he preceded her in death on April 10. 1965. She married Charles Otis Tate in Bernie on Aug. 20, 1975 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1987. Survivors include two sons, Paul Raymond Teets of Sorrento, Fla., and Wilford Teets of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two daughters, Helen Nadine Malone of Tuscambia, Ala., and Pauletta ?Paula? Beck of Bernie; one stepson, Bernard Tate of Las Vegas, Nev.; one stepdaughter, Beryl Hollis of St. Louis; one brother, John Quincy Adams of Flint, Mich.; one sister, Ester Asbell of Bloomfield; 24 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Loren Dale Teets; three brothers, Amos McCain, Aaron McCain and W.A. McCain; and one sister, Avis McCain. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2002 at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 30, 2002 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Susan Marner-Sides officiating. Interment followed in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
