Hi John, my name is Loretta Teets-Jogan and I am the oldest daughter of John S. Teets of Brunswick, Ohio. My father passed away on Mother’s Day 2004. I was quite surprised to bring up a Teets Family & Ancestry which actually included my family! I did want to note, however, that my brother Johnathan is Johnathan Shipley Teets, just like dad (John Shipley). Also, Johnathan’s son is Johnathan Dwayne Shipley so he is actually Johnathan, not John. And, as you can see by my signature, my married name is not “Jogan” but “Teets-Jogan.”
Oh, and most importantly, Jerry and Louise are NOT Betty King’s children. They are my half brother and sister – I have no idea who their mother was, but if my mother were to see them listed as “children of John S. Teets and Betty L. King, I don’t think she’d be too happy.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
Loretta Teets-Jogan. - [S1173] Loretta Teets-Jogan, email to John Teets, 11/21/2007, http://johnteets.com (p417.htm)
Thanks, John – have to admit, never spoke with a John Teets before!! My dad was always “Poppo.” My brother “Johnny” and my nephew “Johnathan.”
All I can say is, bless your heart for all your hard work and research – I never got any further than dad’s immediate family and learned more from my aunt’s obituary than 30 years of talking to relatives!
