- [S918] Sherry Rosenbalm, e-mail address, John, sorry to bother you again, but my aunt just called my sister and said
that the "leon" that you were talking about is known as Ralph Leon Johnson,
he was born to my great-grandmother hazel wilfong, in 1915, then she
proceeded to marry my great-grandfather charles wilfong in 1916. The family
knows him as uncle buzz or bus, and/or known as uncle ralph, this is why
nobody knew of a Leon. My great-grandparents raised him together as their
"own". It is not known if he is still living or not, but my aunt says that
my great-grandmother was married once before she married charles wilfong,
this is where ralph comes in, so this would mean that ralph is not an actual
blood descendant of the wilfong name, but in spirit only, that is how my
family is. Oh, and keep looking for the "June" connection, she IS in fact
charles and hazel's daughter, she and bert (roberta) are the only living
descendants of charles and hazel wilfong, like you said, i think you cracked
the wilfong code. You have done an amazing job, please keep me up on
anything new though, my curiosity is so peeked. I always knew we were
descended from the U.K. but now i have proof. Thanks, Sherry.

My family line weaves to Licking County Ohio 1809 on my Campbell/Sparks families.
A grandfather of mine, John Campbell b: 1810, had a brother Andrew and sister Rebecca. Rebecca married Henry Teets in Ohio [and by reading your web site I saw a Jacob as his father...is this your Jacob]. His brother Andrew marries a Mary Catherine Teets.
In 1850 Andrew is found living with his brother Joseph in Licking County Ohio. Rebecca and Henry are found in Virginia [I can't remember off the top of my head which county].
In the 1856 Iowa State Census, Louisa County...Andrew who is then married to Mary Catherine Teets, and Henry and Rebecca are found, along with Joseph Campbell their sibling.
By 1860 Andrew Campbell has died and Mary Catherine has remarried...I believe a Tharp..I will check my records. Rebecca has also died but Henry is still living there. Joseph has moved to Fulton County, Iowa.
Rebecca Campbell Teets was raised in the Reformed Covenant Presbyterian faith. Do you have any information on her husband Henry...I believe they were living with his father [?] in the 1840 census and had children by that time.
I am tracing the Teets line in connection to my Campbell family in hopes of learning more info on my grandfather Campbell.
Will be happy to share files with you. Please let me know about the Jacob Teets possible connection. I would love to learn more about the Teets....I have never figured out why Henry and Rebecca moved to Virginia before Iowa [Wappello] by 1856...but always felt it was due to the other Teets found in the area....although all queries I have had respond to my queries for that area have told me Henry is not connected to that Teets line.....which I did not believe.
Anyway....I was glad one of the addresses were able to reach you.
Thanks,

Hi, I am Earl's granddaughter, Shauna Brooks (Wilfong). Some corrections I thought you might like to know... :o)
Earl's middle name is Forest and HE married Farah Byrd, not Jesse. You have Jesse (which should be Earl) and Farah having a Byron Wilfong and a Dale Wilfong....they are the same person. My Uncle Dale's full name was Byron Dale Wilfong, who passed away appx. 2 years ago (I'll get a more definate date for you later if you would like). He served in the Vietnam War.
Earl's and Farah's oldest son, Jules (my father), has a son, my brother, named Michael Forrest Wilfong, who is also married to a Shari Arnold (Arnold being her maiden name), and has a son named Jacob Forrest Wilfong.
