    Friends will be received from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, at the Browning Funeral Home, in Kingwood.
    Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Glenn Riggleman and the Rev. Bernard Gillespie at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20.

    Sorry it took so long to reply. My real name is Donna Stant. I'm the daughter of Wendell Lee Stant of Greenfield,OH,who is the eldest son of Walter Lee Stant, who is the third son of George W. Stant & Ida Swift. George who was born in 1863 is the son of Jonathan Stant & Barbara Teets of Hocking Co.,OH. Ida Swift who was born in 1874 is the daughter of James Swift & Mary M. Teets of Pickaway Co.,OH. Both of these ladies are the daughters of Geo. Teets & Phoebe Starkey.
    My Grandpa,Walter,(aka Ike or Ikey) was very close to a couple cousins,Frank,(aka Cocky) & Jake Teets. I remember hearing talk about them & it seems that I remember meeting one, but not both of them. It is my understanding that one may have committed a crime & was locked up. I would like to know more info about these two.

    Mary M. Teets is supposed to be buried in Cedar Grove Cemetery of Pickaway Co.,OH, along with most of her children. The Teets, Stant & Swift families have a lot of history together that stretch across several counties,(Hocking, Pickaway, Ross & Highland, OH). I am currently trying to locate the burial sites of Barbara Teets & her husband Jonathan Stant.

    I have several questions for you. My first question is about the locality of your branch of Teets. Most of my Teets' were living in the Fayette/Pickaway co.,OH area. Are there any Teets' still in that area? Does the Teets family hold reunions? I'm just curious because I have a habit of wanting to know about more than just the dates & locations for my tree. I also have a picture to send you of a Teets cousin & I will send it soon.

I work construction & because of my work, I can go to these areas & gather this info, then while I am layed off for winter, I compile all of my work. I am currently trying to locate the burial sites of Barbara Teets & her husband Jonathan Stant.
