Benjamin Dietrick was born in Ohio.3,1 He married Rosa Bell McKinney, daughter of Jesse Green McKinney and Emily Francis Mills, circa 1890.1,4 Benjamin Dietrick died between 1898 and 1899; The 1900 Census in Fayette County, Kanawha District, taken 6/23/1900, shows Rosa as head of household, with Oscar, Mamie, Goldie, and Otto. No male head of household. Apparently Mr. Dietrick died before 1900, since Otto was said to be one year old at the time of this census.3,5,1
