CASPER -- Memorial services for Warren A. "Bud" Raynes, 83, will be conducted at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 1, in the chapel of Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, with Pastor Milo Miller of Highland Park Community Church officiating. Military rites will be accorded by Natrona County United Veterans Council.
He died Oct. 28, 2004, at Wyoming Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.
Born Oct. 18, 1921, in Augusta, Maine, he was the son of Nathan W. and Marjorie (Carey) Raynes.
On April 29, 1943, in Casper City Hall, he married Rosie Dube. They were married for 58 years. He was drafted from Maine into the U.S. Army in June of 1942. He worked from 1951 until 1985 with American Pipe and Supply.
In his leisure, he enjoyed boating, camping, fishing and spending quality time with family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Joanne Wittman; a grandson; a granddaughter; three great-granddaughters; a brother Ralph; and a sister Connie of Augusta, Maine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and his wife.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bustard's Funeral Directors and Crematory.
