    GREAT BEND -- Sister Angela Leiker, 85, died Nov. 10, in Central Kansas
    Medical Center.
    Born March 10, 1915, in Walker, as Lucy Mathilda Leiker, Sister Angela
    was the daughter of the late Peter and Angela Befort Leiker. She entered
    the Dominican Sisters Community May 24, 1930, and pronounced her first
    vows Aug. 17, 1933. She celebrated 55 years of religious profession in
    1998.
    Sister Angela ministered in domestic work on the Dominican Sisters
    missions most of her life. In 1983 she began a two year ministry as
    receptionist in the surgery waiting room at CKMC. She also served in
    caring for the aged in homes and in the convent infirmary, and as a
    teacher aide in Schulte, Kan. She has been in the convent infirmary since
    1992.
    Services were held Monday, Nov. 13. Burial was in the Sisters' Calvary
    Cemetery.
    Memorials in honor of Sister Angela may be sent to: Dominican Sisters
    Ministry Fund, Office of Mission and Ministry, 3600 Broadway, Great Bend,
    KS 67530-3692.
