Lavina Simmons was born on 12 May 1814 in Virginia.^1,2,3,4,5 She married Joseph Wilfong, son of Henry Wilfong and Mary Elizabeth Simmons, on 11 October 1834.^1,6 Lavina Simmons died on 1 April 1891 at age 76.¹ She was buried after 1 April 1891 in St. Michaels (Wilfong) Church Cemetery.¹
