William Franklin "Frank" Hollen was born on 7 October 1836 in Pendleton, Virginia.4,5,6,7,8,3,9 He was the son of Wellington Hollen and Rachel M. Hinkle.2 William Franklin "Frank" Hollen married Hannah Ward Criss, daughter of Henry Criss and Phoebe Ward, on 3 January 1861.10,11 William Franklin "Frank" Hollen died on 27 April 1914 in Upshur, West Virginia, at age 77.10
He was buried after 27 April 1914 in Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery, Upshur, West Virginia.10
William Franklin "Frank" Hollen was also known as Wellington Hollen.12 William Franklin "Frank" Hollen was also known as William Frank Hollen.13 William Franklin "Frank" Hollen was also known as F. William Hollen.11,14 In 1870, he moved with his family to Upshur County, and located about six miles East of Buckhannon, but after a few years purchased the Armated Queen property, consisting of residence and mill property in Queens, Upshur County.
