    Hello,
I am Thom Marti, but my birth surname was Dunn. My grandmother Bertha Dunn (born in Economy Village, Pa in 1888. Bertha was Hazel Flickinger's aunt - I met Hazel once when I was very young, perhaps at my father's funeral in 1954.
Hazel's father Fred Flickinger, was born in Old Economy in 1876. and was the oldest son of Gottleib and Rosina Flueckiger, from Switzerland. (Bertha was their youngest daughter).
Fred had married Mary Pearce, of Leetsdale. He had a daughter Mary who died at 9, and a son Ira. It was in Ira's obit that I found mention of Hazel as Mrs. Alexander Teets, of Sacramento.
I have researched Old Economy's archives and found the Flueckigers were the community's orchardists. After the Harmony Society dissolved, this family remained in Ambridge and became steel workers.
You may contact me at my wife's e-mail e-mail address I have posted the Dunn family tree on Ancestry.
I learned that Alexander was a career Air Force Officer, who had served in WW2, Korea and vietnam. I see he was a college graduate who worked as a railroad clerk, and enlisted right after Pearl Harbor.
    Thank You,

    Hello,
I am Thom Marti, but my birth surname was Dunn.
    Thank You,
    thom (dunn) marti.
